SOAP OPERA

1.

When you wash your hands

You can feel the soap squiggle in your fingers

When you wash you hands

You can feel the water so warm

When you wash your hands

You can hear the laughter of the bubbles

Keeping your from trouble

Trouble called germs

Germs?

When you wash your hands

You gotta rub ‘em, rub ‘em both together

When you wash your hands

You want to get ‘em, get ‘em so clean

When you wash your hands

Yeah, you’re fightin’ off the bad guys

You can’t see ‘em with your eyes:

Germs!

Germs?

2.

Germs!  Tiny little bugs that live in dirt

Germs!  Tiny little bugs that live in dirt

They try to get inside you anyway they can

Through the dirt on your face or the dirt on your hands

It’s all part of their dirty plan – understand?

Germs!  Tiny little bugs – but have no fear

Germs!  Don’t be scared – the answer’s here!

There’s one thing germs hate to see

Makes them run!  Makes them flee!

They quake with fear!  They lose all hope!

3.

Soap!  Soap!

Makes you so clean

Soap!  Soap!

And I think you know the soap I mean

Scrubble and you bubble and you work up a lather

It gets in the places where dirty germs gather

And before they can complain

They go spinning down the drain

Soap!  Soap!

Wonderful stuff

Soap!  Soap!

Smelly people never use enough

Shout at the germs and they won’t even hear ya

They don’t have ears, they’re only bacteria

But when you use soap they can hardly get near ya

When... When... When...

4.

When you wash your hands

You can feel the soap squiggle in your fingers

When you wash you hands

You can tell the soap, “Thanks!”

When you wash your hands

All the beautiful bubbles

Keeping you from trouble

And now you the trouble I mean

And now you know

why it’s good to be clean
