How much would you weigh
on another planet?

If you jump up and down, no matter how high you jump, you will always be pulled back down toward the surface of the earth. This is the effect of gravity. Rockets have to use a lot of thrust to overcome the earth's gravity and make it into space. If you could travel to another planet, you would be pulled to its surface, too, but by a different amount. How strong the pull is depends on how much mass the planet has. (Mass just means the amount of "stuff" the planet is made of.) So, on a planet with more mass than earth, you'd feel heavier, and on a planet with less mass, you'd weigh less. To find out how much, enter your weight below and click on a planet.
